Confinement Playlist #6 - Wolf & Moon

We're very happy to share this new playlist by the talented Berlin-based duo Wolf & Moon. We discovered them a few months ago by roaming on Spotify and fell in love with their single "Situations" which reminds us of Angus & Julia Stone and has a very comforting feeling. In March 2020 they released their latest single "The Road" which is currently in our "Monthly Playlist". A very talented duo to check out.

By Dennis:

1. Four Tet - Sixteen ocean

Love this for doing a workout in the Garden, it’s the perfect mix of energetic and meditative music, so first a workout and then coffee in the sun

2. Big Red Machine - Big Red Machine

This album by Bon Iver and Aaron Dessner (the National) is one of my favourite albums of last year. I never get tired of it, it’s a great mix of sounds and the songwriting is so good.

3. Arcade fire - The suburbs

I keep coming back to the older work of Arcade Fire, it’s like a safe heaven. Funeral, Neon Bible, The Suburbs were all back in rotation lately.

4. Tame Impala - The Slow Rush

The newest by Tame Impala is a great one while working. Kevin Parker is such a master of sounds, and this album it is blended in the most pleasant way. It’s not as heavy as his previous work but therefore I want to listen to it more often.

5. Big Thief - U.F.O.F

The powerful and soothing voice of Adrianne Lenker and the great songwriting on this album but most of all of their albums is sublime. “Cattails’ is an absolute favourite, one we’ll keep spinning till we’re old. Like the woman she is singing of.

6. Little Dragon - New Me, Same Us

I have been a fan of this group since their debut in 2007. Besides the debut and Ritual Union in 2011 non of their record had the same impact on me like when I first fall in love with them. This new record dropped last week and I have been falling in love with them again. I have been listening to this record every morning and it made me so happy! Especially the song “Are you feeling sad?” has been my quarantine-go-to-song to make all the sorrows disappear.

7. Maribou State - Kingdom in Color

This record is a big inspiration for me as I love all the sound design and world music influences. Makes me dive into a different world.

8. Romare - Projections

Also really enjoy the sound design on this one. It makes me ready for Summer.
